Language Skills
Each student must demonstrate knowledge of minimum three languages before graduation:
1. English Language
Minimum level C1 according to CEFR, which students have to demonstrate when entering the CEMS programme.
2. Second Language
Mother tongue or B1 oral / B1 written level .
3. Third Language
Any language on the elementary level or Mother tongue
Language Assessment according to the CEMS requirements (recognition in cems.org database)
Students have several options to prove their proficiency in foreign languages:
- Proof of secondary education/university degree in a foreign language
- CEMS accredited language courses available for different languages at CEMS schools (VSE language course as per the explanation below or a course taken during your CEMS study exchange only if applicable),
- A commercial language course from a CEMS accredited cultural institution at a level defined in the Languages Chart
- A commercial language course at an elementary level from a CEMS accredited cultural institution.
- Elementary level language courses (A1, A2, B1) must have a minimum of 5 ECTS or 60 contact hours.

Language Assessment according to the VSE (Prague University of Economics and Business) requirements (recognition in study system InSIS)
Students have several options to prove their proficiency in foreign languages:
- A commercial language course from a CEMS accredited cultural institution at a level defined in the Languages Chart.
- A commercial language course at an elementary level from a CEMS accredited cultural institution.
- A VSE language course elementary or higher level (6 ECTS/156 total workload hours as per the Study plan of the Programme). You must either choose a course for 6 ECTS or two courses for 3 ECTS. In this case you are obliged to choose a course with an ascending level (A1 to A2, A2 to B1, etc.). Also, the course must cover only one language (e.g. German A1 and A2, French A2 and B1, etc.).
