Elections to Academic Senate FBA and Academic Senat VŠE for the term 2024 – 2027

The President of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Business Administration of the VŠE announces, in accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education, as amended, and pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 1 of the Election Regulations of the AS FPH (Election Regulations of the AS FPH), regular elections for the term of office 29 April 2024 – 28 April 2027.

The date of the elections to the AS FBA is set for 27 March 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. online in the form of an election application within the Integrated Student Information System of VŠE (InSIS).

The date and time of the elections to the AS FPH will be determined by the AS FPH Board in accordance with Article 3(2) of the Election Regulations of the AS FPH.

 

Elections to the AS FBA are held in two electoral districts, according to Article 1, paragraph 3 of the AS FPH General Regulations:

  • 11 members of the AS FBA will be elected in the academic staff constituency;
  • 6 members of the FBA AS will be elected in the constituency of students of Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programmes.

For the technical provision of the elections to the AS FBA, the AS FBA establishes the following election committee according to Article 4 of the VŘ AS FBA. According to Article 4 of the Election Regulations of the AS FPH, the AS FBA also establishes a sub-election committee for the AS FBA elections for the term of office 2024-2027, with the same composition.

Candidate’s application form for the FBA AS elections must be signed and must include the candidate’s name (with titles). In the case of academic candidates, the proposal must also include the name of the department the candidate represents. A non-binding model application form is available on the AS FPH website.

The application form of a candidate for the elections to the AS VŠE at the Faculty of Business Economics of the VŠE must be signed and must contain the name of the candidate (with titles). A non-binding application form is available on the AS FPH website.

Applications for the elections to both the AS FPH and AS VŠE for the 2024-2027 term must be received in writing by 13 March 2024. Such receipt is deemed to be personal delivery of the application to the Chair of the Election Committee or submission of the application via the VŠE Registrar’s Office in a sealed envelope marked „Volby do AS FPH“ nebo „Volby do AS VŠE“ and addressed to the Chair of the Election Committee.

In addition, in accordance with Article 3(2) of the AS FBA GEC, the AS FBA sets out the following rules for the election campaign:

  • A candidate for a member of the AS FPH has the right to campaign from the date of publication of this resolution (inclusive) until the date of the election in the constituency in which he/she is standing (inclusive).
  • A candidate for a member of the AS FPH has the right to campaign on the premises of the VŠE campus only in person or through other members of the academic community of the VŠE belonging to the same constituency, in compliance with generally binding legal regulations, as well as internal and other regulations of the VŠE, including the Code of Ethics of the VŠE.
  • Election campaigning must not disrupt or otherwise restrict teaching or other educational and creative activities at the VŠE.
  • Misuse of the information system of the VŠE (InSIS, MS Teams, Moodle, MS Outlook, etc.), in particular sending mass messages for the purpose of manipulation and sending appeals to support specific candidates during the elections, is strictly prohibited.
