CEMS Annual Events 2019 at WU Vienna

The networking event of the year, CEMS Annual Events 2019, takes place in Vienna from November 27 to December 1, 2019. The Annual Events are organized on a rotating basis by 32 member schools, with WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) being the host university this year.

During these days, members of the whole CEMS family gather in one place – graduates of CEMS partner universities, their relatives and schoolmates, board members, executives, academic staff, corporate partners and alumni. VSE is represented by Prof. Hana Machková (Rector, member of the CEMS Strategic Board), Prof. Ivan Nový (Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration – home faculty of the CEMS programme), Ladislav Tyll (Academic Director), Martina Čížková (Programme Manager) and Šárka Otčenášková (Corporate Relations Manager).

The Annual Events are the highlight of the CEMS year. Now attended both physically and virtually by over 7 000 members of the CEMS community, the Annual Events comprise a series of academic and corporate meetings.
Diverse committees and organisations convene on a formal basis, with certain decisions and announcements made at the Plenary Session concerning academic and corporate affairs. Students and alumni report on the year’s activities, with changes to their respective boards made official over the course of the event.
Moreover, the Graduation ceremony takes place on Saturday, November 30, with 36 out of the current 43 graduates from VSE Prague taking part and joining a community of more than 15.600 CEMS alumni around the world.

Last year the CEMS Alliance celebrated its 30th anniversary, it is, therefore, the 31st CEMS Annual Events taking place in Vienna this year.
