CEMS Club Prague Awarded Best Club of the Winter Term 2024/25

CEMS Club Prague has officially been recognized as the Best CEMS Club of Winter Term 2024/25, standing out among 33 clubs worldwide. This prestigious award, presented by the CEMS Student Board, reflects not only the club’s outstanding initiatives but also the high level of student satisfaction and engagement throughout the semester.

A Competitive Selection on the Global Stage

This February, CEMS Club presidents from across the alliance gathered in Brussels, where the CEMS Student Board, for the first time, incorporated insights from fellow club leaders in the evaluation process. The competition was fierce, with clubs assessed in six key categories before the highest honor – Best CEMS Club – was awarded.

“This award is particularly meaningful as it reflects the satisfaction and engagement of our students. It’s not just about the projects we run – it’s about the experience we create and the impact we have on a global level,” said Isabelle Anzuck and David Knorr, Presidents of CEMS Club Prague for the Winter Term 2024/25.

While category winners are determined by submitted projects evaluated by the CEMS Student Board, the final Best CEMS Club ranking is decided by the students themselves. Their feedback – based on experiences, engagement, and the impact of activities throughout the semester – plays the biggest role, with additional points awarded for victories in individual categories.

This achievement is more than just a title – it’s a testament to CEMS Club Prague’s dedication to creating a vibrant student experience, building lasting corporate and alumni connections, and setting the standard for excellence within the CEMS network.

What Set CEMS Club Prague Apart?

Beyond excelling in multiple categories, CEMS Club Prague distinguished itself through bold initiatives that brought students, alumni, and corporate partners together in meaningful ways.

Alumni F*ck Up Night – A Standout Success: This event welcomed over 70 alumni and students from the whole community, creating an open space for candid conversations about professional setbacks and growth.

“This event brought together an amazing mix of alumni and students, all enthusiastic to share, learn, and connect. The guest speakers openly talked about their biggest professional setbacks and the lessons they learned, showing that failure is simply a part of the journey. The positive feedback from students proves how much this format resonated with everyone,” shared Kristína Oškerová, who co-led the Alumni department with Emily Weston during the winter term.

CEMScast – A Insight into CEMS Prague: This initiative, which earned 2nd place in Marketing Excellence, provided a new way for students to engage with the CEMS network through creative storytelling and communication.

Corporate Relations Excellence  – A CCP Signature: One of the key objectives of CEMS Club Prague is to foster informal connections with corporate partners while preparing students for meaningful careers. This is why the club developed the innovative Consulting Academy concept, which ultimately earned the award.

“We aimed to strengthen relationships with Corporate Partners by creating meaningful and relevant events. With strong student interest in consulting but limited hands-on opportunities, the Consulting Academy helped to bridge the gap — covering key PowerPoint skills, hands-on casing, interview sessions with consulting firms, and in collaboration with our ESG department an abusive behaviour prevention workshop, helping students connect deeply with the consulting world.” says Martin Bílek, who led the Corporate department together with Yuliia Havrylova in the winter semester.

CEMS Clubs compete across six categories: Alumni, Corporate, Most Desired, Marketing, Responsibility, and Socializing. The Best CEMS Club award is not only the highest recognition within the alliance but also a remarkable conclusion to an incredible semester – made possible through the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our students and all members of CEMS Club Prague.
